Yahoo Video's over!
Moins d'un an après l'arrêt de Google vidéo qui n'avait pas réussi à percer face à Youtube et consort (mais il faut dire que Google avait racheté Youtube entre temps , donc ...) un autre géant or former giant of the Net, Yahoo throws in the towel, stopping Yahoo Video by March 2011.
Yahoo Video was launched, and until 2 years ago still one of the best platforms in terms of video encoding quality and usability drive in particular.
But despite these qualities, party too late (more than a year and a half after the pioneer Dailymotion, and by restricting the U.S. over a year after American pioneer Youtube), especially due to a pretty pathetic marketing (to find Yahoo video, you really look for it on the Yahoo portal, unless l'URL directe ...), Yahoo vidéo n'a jamais réussi à s'imposer.
The Russian and Chinese networks also have their leaders).
And the pressure exerted by YouTube, which dominates a growing sector, forcing other platforms to spécilisé increasingly, to the point of asking questions about their survival. Dailymotion Thus, after backed by the French state, retrieves multiple rights from the INA, and then acquires tools for professionals, walking on beds of Kewego, and VPOD consors.
Note that Yahoo does not completely leave the video as it asks its customers to get their videos, and upload them on Flickr ... Here
